Unregistered user Well, I sent in a couple of suggestions for the Acorn Arcade poll sometime in spring but neither has shown up - in fact I sent those suggestions because that poll was getting old and just keeps growing older by the day.

I haven't really thought of any new poll, mainly because there's no obvious way of suggesting one. If there's someplace to do so I'll try and come up with a suggestion.

Unregistered user It says on the page displayed after you vote "If you have a suggestion for a future poll, please email it to tim@iconbar.com". The reason we don't have a "suggest poll" form like on Acorn Arcade is because from that form I get several blank suggestions a week, and there have been several rather abusive ones in the past.

The Acorn Arcade poll hasn't been updated because it will be removed once the new redesign is completed.

Unregistered user I don't think any of the RISC OS browser currently support the 'Disabled' attribute - at least, not Fresco or Oregano. Might it not just be simpler to comment out that option for the present?

Unregistered user How about changing the poll on the main page every now and then? If I remember correctly the current poll has been on the site since day one and I think we've reached a verdict smile
Same thing actually applies to the Acorn Arcade site.

A counter that shows the number of votes on each option would be great!

Unregistered user Think of a new poll and suggest it then.
I would do the same, but I can't think of any yet frown

Unregistered user Ok, I understand.

Too bad people aren't mature enough to let this be - this could have been quite usefull otherwise frown

BTW There seems to be a bug with the Preview button (maybe not ready?) When pressed it gives you the Post reply: page without any preview and the Message field is blank. This happened while posting a reply to your post.

Unregistered user I just don't understand the blank submissions - I've had literally 100s of them - no name, no poll idea, just blank submissions. At one point I was getting more than one a day.

As for the preview button - I assume you mean the preview button on the reply page (as the one on the post page should work fine). Unless the RISC OS browsers don't support the 'disabled' attribute in form buttons, then you shouldn't actually be able to click on the button. If you can click on it, then I imagine it would just reload the page (as the form 'action' points to itself).

The button is (or should be) disabled, to remind me that I need to write the code to display the previewed reply at some point smile.
