Here's a post with a URL and a link: <a href="http://www.iconbar.com/">http://www.iconbar.com/</a> in it.
What happens when I edit it...

[Edit]
Hmm, it may work...
[Edit #2]
Well it 'works', but you still seem to end up with more and more <a href's each time you edit the post.
[Edit #3]
And as you can see, editing a post twice (Now three times) introduces the problem
Surely if you can disable URL parsing when inside a hrefs' address, then you can disable the parsing when inside the whole tag?
i.e.
< a href="foo">baa</a>
foo wouldn't (or doesn't seem to) be URL parsed, but baa does get parsed, leading to lots of nested links.

Surely if you can disable URL parsing when inside a hrefs' address, then you can disable the parsing when inside the whole tag? Phlamethrower you're a genius! I was thinking it was the whole thing that was broken, but you're right, it was skipping the links in the a hrefs but then converting the actual link URL in the middle.
Soooo hopefully I've fixed this now:

Hmm, I wonder what's wrong with http://www.iconbar.com/forums/viewthread.php?threadid=1985#21504 then It's the lack of http:// in the link bit, the www. makes it get linked anyway, so that's another bug. |
