That's because the HTML entity for a quote is "e;, and the smiley parser appears to do its stuff after the quotes and stuff have been turned into entities. And then IE, being the marvel it is, displays it as a quote even though the end semicolon is now inside an img tag.
I added this to the bug tracker ages ago and nothing's been done about it yet 
(And the bug tracker seems to be a bit broken at the moment: 'Fatal error: Call to undefined function: loadpermission() in /hsphere/local/home/administ/private/services/tickets/tickets.class.php on line 381' when trying to access /tickets after logging in ) |
