I posted this on the newsgroups but I didn't get any answers....I'm trying to write a FF3 type game for the Acorn - I don't need any graphics artists or programmers, but I could do with a lot of help with script and plot writing. Any game ideas would also be appreciated! |

I understand you've spoken to Nathan of VOTI? As far as plot etc, I don't know how many people are available to do this. I'm going to have to spend quite a lot of time thinking out a series of missions for my project so maybe you'll have to work alone at least for now. Don't forget to look around the threads here though for ideas. |

Yep, I've spoken to Nathan to offer my help as a 2D graphics artist If anyone else wants some help with 2D and tile graphics, I'm available although time is a bit limited at the moment |

I've decided on a compromise - 640x480, but using the fixed 256 col palette. Trust me, it'll look good No, really, it'll look good!! Spikey hair has been provided. Now, if only I can work out how to do this music stuff.... |

Well, what are those little tadpole thingies that you put on those little train tracks on paper mean ? No seriously, I can't write music, I've never put continuous music into a game before, and all I've got to work with is the sound module from GameSuite, so music is going to be pretty low on the priority list for the moment, I think. |

ur gonna have to decide whether u want to use tracker or wave based audio (e.g. MP3 or CD Audio). The sound quality of Tracker stinks, but apparently its easy to do stuff with. I personally prefer the idea of MP3s of CD Audio |

CD Audio all the way - MP3s use too much processor time and I doubt you'll need to use MP3s to conserve space |
