Anyone know of any free patches that work? According to Acorn Gaming I think it was, you can upgrade Diggers to SA compatability by sending £10 to Uffenkamp Computer systems or something. I don't really want to do this, and the patch that came on AU CD 10 won't work either. Any help? Also does anyone know of any proper patches for Wolf, so it runs at a decent speed? |

I have some patches for Diggers (to add extra money) and Wolf 3D (invulnerability, ammo, all guns etc); if you are interested, email me on 99043424@napier.ac.uk, and I'll see what I can do... |

I've got plenty of cheats for games, but what I want are patches to make the games work in the first place! |

What version of diggers have you got? IIRC the patch I wrote was for version 1.00 - if you have a different version chances are it won't work. But certainly it worked fine for me... Alex. |

I've checked the box, manual, Arc installation instructions and the original disks, and can't find one version number. Whoever these are the date/time stamps and sizes for the suspect files:
!RunImage 18:55:00 6 March 1994 58127 bytes
!Intro 15:39:33 4 March 1994 42620 bytes
!Outro 15:37:26 4 March 1994 20744 bytes

Dunno - the version I have shows the Millennium logo when it starts up with the version number underneath it. Alex. |

There's the teeny problem there that I can't get mine to start up so that I can see the Millenium logo. I think it says either 0.97 or 1 though. I think I managed to coax it into doing the logo once, so I might be able to do it again. |

It turns out that it was a different version; that patched copy you sent me had a smaller Runimage file, so some of the patch was being written to blank memory |
