I also tried viewforum.php?forum=staff, but either the forum isn't called 'staff' or it is hidden.
It's called staffonly, and it won't let you read it :P
Well that's one good thing then ;)

25. Clicking on post links in the threaded list of multi-page threads doesn't do anything - all the links go to the threaded list rather than the thread pages themselves.

I was hoping no-one would notice that, as it's not very easy to fix :|.

23. The 404 page has a link to the old forum, not the new one
Completely re-wrote the error page system for the four main vhosts, and fixed this while I was at it. And claimed I was doing research for work! :)

(URL parser doesn't like commas for those who are too lazy to look)

Strangely enough I hadn't picked that one up before :o

Media Guardian apparantly :P

But they're retards anyway, judging by their Partridge article. Never seen so much ill-informed balls in all my life :|

The commas thing is sites using Vignette (Guardian, News.com and a few other big names), but that's not a URL parser bug, it's delibrate. People will quite often have URLs in posts followed immediately by a comma, like http://www.iconbar.com/, and I don't want the parser picking the comma up as well.

Which means I may have to extend the parser to not allow the comma to be the last character of the URL. But that's the reason it works how it does at the moment.

Vignette Story Server is really ick - you basically run Netscape's web server, and whenever it generates a 404 the URL gets parsed for info (comma separated) to see if the "error" is actually pointing to a story - mmm, effecient. And you have to program websites in TCL purely because that's free to embed in commercial products. Probably a historical throwback, there's undoubtably other things that could be used now, but then people would have to re-write existing stuff.

It didn't help that the company I worked for at the time was using what everyone acknowledged as being the worse version of Vignette ever, but seeing as they'd paid a 7 figure sum to use it they were damn well going to. Needless to say, after a month of this and other general weirdness at the company I walked - and they got sold for £1 a few months later :)

22. Similar to above, you can insert post IDs into http://www.iconbar.com/forums/editmessage.php?messageid= to let you edit any post, even if you're not a moderator!
26. Number 22 is now fixed, but it won't let me edit my own posts :| There's some debug info printed at the top of the page when I submit the edit, so I guess this is just while Tim is fixing number 22?

27. Now that we have a control panel, shouldn't it put your signature in the signature box when you go there?

28. Can we have an option to automatically add sigs to posts without having to click the "signature" button?

29. As Mr. :monkey:son has illustrated, full HTML is allowed in peoples sigs. This is probably very bad, as the current state of his sig shows - '</table><img src="http://gecko.gc.maricopa.edu/~jahimes/project5/images/monkeys.jpg"></body></html><!--'

30. Some of the forum post counts are inaccurate, e.g. the DTP forum is listed as having 285 posts while it probably only has about 50.

That's the same problem as before, as one of the URLs doesn't have the http://. I haven't fixed that yet.
