Well, you seemed to be getting a bit excited over the release of a countdown clock to some stores! :P

I've had a thought. Would it be possible to port DS homebrew games to RISC OS?

Try it and find out!

But in summary, probably not, since we'd need to write a whole 2D/3D library, and get round the whole fact that we only have one CPU instead of two.

The library doesn't seem too bad, but maybe there's more undocumented stuff. And we have an OpenGL library now that's begging to be used for something.

What we really need, though, is a AemulorDS. Come on Adrian, add it to your list. :)

That's true. And conveniently it doesn't work on my *nix, so you're still going to have to do it yourself ;)

We could even use Geminus to get dual screen support :P

Jungle Tip:

Don't waste hours wondering why you can't get the DS devkit to work on a Mac, only to realise you've downloaded and installed the Intel binaries on a PowerPC.

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be a DS emulator for Mac OS X. Arse.

I'll be writing for the GBA instead then.

My fantastic plan of running DS emulators on Windows on my work PC using remote desktop hasn't worked either.

They all crash, either because they hate Win2003 or remote desktop.

ARRRGH.

You know what would be cool on the DS?

A VNC client. Could have the lower screen zoomed in like with the web browser.

Done:

That's Pointy Remote. I think there's another called Win2DS.

Meanwhile, I seem to have started writing Cataclysm for the DS. But with sand or gloop instead of water.
