Okay kids. I just ordered a homebrew-enabling Pass We 3 from http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/
Stay tuned for reviews of DS IRC, Angband (if it's playable, that's the end of my productivity for life) and BBC-version Elite.
Rar! I am quite literally wriggling with excitement. I'm not sure if I'll be able to wait until Thursday for my Pass Wii to arrive. Any suggestions for other pre-emptive homebrew downloads for my long weekend? Cool. If I send you the program I was working on, can you test whether it runs on an actual real DS? Sure!
In the meantime, you could port Netsurf Couldn't. |

I guess that means I'll have to compile a version that works, then.
In the meantime, you could port Netsurf Couldn't. *whistles* Aaaaaadriannnnnn! Phlamey!
In other news, I've booked off the 8th and 11th of December in order to enjoy a whole weekend of Wii waving. |

I like the flea market.
I sold my hammerhead shark to Pudgy for 35,000 bells. Then I talked to him outside, and he sold it back to me for 3000! Then I sell it to Dizzy for another 35,000 bells!
67,000 bells for one smelly old shark.
Excellent.

Damn you!
Only big fish I had to sell today was an ocean sunfish. 10,000 bells to Bella. "And I would have payed anything to get it" etc. etc. etc.
But then she gave me her picture later, so it's not all bad
And I'm 20,000 bells short of paying off my Last Ever Mortgage |

You think that's scary? A two-headed monster has moved into my town
In other news, I think he's only interested in quantity, not similarity. Prizes are based around the total number of acorns you've collected, not the number you've just handed him. |

Tortimer - I mean Cornimer - scares me I'm too scared to give him a rotten acorn I think it either resets your acorn count to zero, or causes him to discard the other acorns you handed over with the rotten one. |

According to PLAY magazine, Nintendo DS has sold over 5 million unit in the US and the PSP has sold only 4.5 million units. Time to jump ship. |

According to PLAY magazine, Nintendo DS has sold over 5 million unit in the US and the PSP has sold only 4.5 million units. It's really hard to find accurate sales figures anywhere outside of Japan (which is mad for the DS - they've already sold more of the DS Lite, which launched earlier this year, than the PSP has since its launch in 2004!)
The other sneaky thing is the difference between shipped and sold. Sony tend to quote the former, Nintendo the latter... Let's see what that's done to the graph:
http://www.maxconsole.net/content_img/dspspwgraphs.jpg (Source, if hotlinking images doesn't work)
Anyway...
Time to jump ship. Huh? You prefer one system over another because some people in America have bought more? What about which has the games that you enjoy? Which is more FUN? (For me, it's the DS, quite possibly proved by the length of this thread).
In Acorn Festival news... I haven't seen most of it! Should I set the clock on my DS back to the middle of last week so I don't miss out? |

In Acorn Festival news... I haven't seen most of it! Should I set the clock on my DS back to the middle of last week so I don't miss out? Dunno. If you want to get the full mush room collection, you'll need 230 acorns. Collecting those items is about all the festival is about, and to get them all you'll probably need to collect acorns 6 out of the 7 days. |

This has been the case for quite some time.
My worry is that there will be more rubbish stuff produced as it gets more popular. I predict this happening for the Wii once it takes off. |

And now they're closing again, because I need to change the address range the router uses so it doesn't interfere with the TV card in the PC. |

Woohoo! I have to take issue with this part:
Currently, DS Flash Carts are a convoluted affair, in which you link a regular GBA flash cart with a long ribbon to a DS cart called a PassMe device. Or so I understand: it sounded so inelegant and convoluted I never bothered to try. I'm not sure if that was ever true. It is certainly not true now. I have a little DS card thingy that I put in the DS slot, and I put my GBAMP (containing a CF card with all the lovely homebrew/linux) in the GBA slot.
There are no ribbons involved, except possibly in my hair if I'm feeling pretty. |
