Hi folks!
I'm having problems getting TEK to work both on Virtual Risc PC Adjust SA and my RISC PC 600.
On VPRC it loads up and everything, but on the first mission, I think its 'training', only part of the screen is visible. If you move, you see more of the screen but it is distorted.
What is even stranger is that on my RISC PC with StrongARM and 2Mb of VRAM, it doesn't even make it to the options screen, it just exits to the desktop after showing the title screen. Both installs have the Pyro Update applied.
Is this a known problem and is there a solution? |

Probably unrelated, but I never managed to get it working and despite many emails with the team and Jan Klose, never got it resolved. Shame. I'm on to C&C3 now instead, many of the old RO games are excellent but there's not much new. |

Is this a known problem and is there a solution? It may not work with RISC OS 6 but it does with 4.39 (leaving aside RO 4-related instability in the game). Please state your OS. |

With VRPC and an SA RPC, i'm guessing he's probably on 3.7/4.02/4.39 - I would doubt RO6. |

Suppose you were an idiot. Suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.

That is rather strange, my StrongARM RiscPC with 2MB of VRAM plays TEK quite nicely. What version of RISC OS are you using? It works fine here on both RISC OS 4.02 and 4.37 (Select 3i3) with the Pyro updates applied.
The problem on your Virtual RiscPC machine may have something to do with your monitor. What monitor do you have connected? |

Well, I tried it on my RPC with a 202MHz StrongARM and 2MB of VRAM but only RO 3.7, and we never did get it working.

Sorry, I've been away for a while, but just wanted to thank all those who have sent feedback regarding this problem. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who can't get this game working!
Regarding monitors or screen resolutions. That' an interesting one, as compared with some commerical games, I couldn't find any custom MDFs, could this be an issue?
Currently, I'm trying to get it working on VRPC StrongARM, which has RISCOS 4.39 Adjust running, although it didn't work on the non-StrongARM version before either. |
