*starts poking ksattic to give up on MesaGL for nVidia and start work on an ATI driver instead*
[edit]
*also pokes Adrian to peruse the docs to find out how to use the ATI hardware MPEG2 decoding so he can finish and release Cino*

The docs released so far don't have any information about hardware acceleration but should contain enough information to get a display up and running.
The docs are also for the RV630 (HD 2900) and M56 (Mobile X1600) chips which are very recent Radeons. The highest spec PCI Radeon I've been able to find is the 9250 (R280). It is however possible that the chips share similar register layouts.
Incidentally, if anyone has been able to read the contents of a ROM from a PCI card on the Iyonix I would be interested in hearing from them. It's because I couldn't get this working that I gave up on getting a display running on a Radeon 9250 (it's a bit tricky to get the card going without running the BIOS initialization code first.)
