Hello everybody.

I'm looking for a copy of this great debugger, I've lost my copy a long time ago.(bought original).

Jason Tribbeck, if you're reading me, I understand you had a copy.
If still available, I'd be delighted to get one.

I've tried to email you but your site sees my emails as 'spam'.

Regards,
Xavier.

I'm surprised it's seen as spam - I check the spam messages in case there's false positive, and there haven't been any (that I've spotted).

It's possible that the domain/server you're sending it through is on a RBL, in which case I wouldn't receive anything. Do you get any bounce-back message?

Is there a domain I can check for in the mail logs? (Although I have built a new email server in the past 4 weeks, so if it's before then, it'll be much harder to trace - the previous email server didn't have spam filtering [but did have RBL]).

As to QDBug, I'm not sure if I've still got a copy - it was never upgraded to the RiscPC architecture, and my A440/1 went a **long** time ago. I may have it, but I'd need to search my hard drives for it.

Hello Jason.

The easiest could be that you send me an email to
[redacted by editor]
I'll reply and tell you more.

If you could find your copy of QDBug I'd be delighted.

I'd be also happy to tell you more about the game I'm writing.
I'd like to use your soundtracker module, and if you had some time to compose a soundtrack for it it would be great.
Some graphics would be nice too, my skill in this area is not better than a 6 year old boy.
I've seen what you created for your own games and I'm impressed.

Regards,
Xavier.

I highly recommend you remove the e-mail addresses from the above posts, just so you're not feeding the spam bots with working e-mail addresses.

I'd agree with the email removal.

I've checked the server logs, and it was a removal-without-letting-me-know:

2009-04-30 11:05:36 DNS list lookup defer (probably timeout) for 6.42.27.212.list.dsbl.org: assumed not in list

2009-04-30 11:05:36 DNS list lookup defer (probably timeout) for 6.42.27.212.list.dsbl.org: assumed not in list

I think it doesn't like the SMTP server (the first of the pair of lines would indicate that it wasn't because of an RBL problem). Since it's a problem at this level, while I'll be able to reply to you, you won't be able to reply back (unless there's a different SMTP server you can use - is the free.fr one the one that Wanadoo use?)

Unfortunately, I was at a car show over the weekend, and I haven't had the chance to look for it yet.

Okay, my apologies - I hadn't cabled the RISC PC up until tonight, and I've had a search for it.

The module is available from http://www.tribbeck.com/misc/qdbug.zip - there was a configuration file in the same directory as it, but I've no idea if it's necessary or not. I'm also not sure if it needs an environment variable to be set - you may need to scan through the module to see if it needs one.

Christophe Thivend - if you're reading this, I hope it's okay (and it would be nice to hear from you!).

Hello Jason.

Would you be OK to distribute QDbug ?

I've just seen that it is in fact registered (serial number and your name) but I think it's one of these powerfull software which should not disappear.

At this point in time, no - I'll need to check on that.

The problem is that the author has disappeared (I think he worked for Alcatel for a bit), so I can't approach him.

The company I work for now is what VTi/Vertical Twist became, but they've got no knowledge of this software (they'll probably claim ownership of it knowing them).

The management at the time aren't working for us, but I do still keep in regular contact with one of them - I'll ask him first and see if he has any suggestions.

Personally, I don't see it being a problem, except for my company's management being a pain.
