Or the announcement on MyRISCOS where it appeared faster than on any of the other RISC OS news services...

Oh yes, you're so awfully clever (that's sarcasm). drobe.co.uk intentionally delayed
reporting on it until it had something worth saying, instead of MyLinux-style blatant copying of the press release.

Note also that drobe has reported on at least 10 items this month alone that MyRISCOS has not. Keep your gloating until you have something worth saying.

Wow. The wonders of copy and paste eh?
MyRISCOS fast? Try making it appear using WebsterXL.
tbh, if I wanted to read a newsgroup posting I'd go and read the newsgroups. No if I wanted something more in-depth, I'd expect to find it at a RISC OS portal.

Funny how a Drobe vs. My RISC OS war has started on a TIB forum. Shall I just sit here on my moral high ground and let them duke it out? :)

Yup. Can't argue with that. Not that I'd bother. The thing is depending on who companies release info to depends on who broadcasts the news. As the chocky launch pad, sorry , drobe launch pad seems to be getting the inside traps from some around here without actually telling anyone else, it's no real suprise. Now is it?

BTW : The sarcasm was not missed. Infact, it made you look more petty than usual. Prrrrrrrrrrrp!

You're learning. Full marks for the gag and I liked the way it reeked with bitterness.

Oh yeah. Shame on us to email or otherwise contact people and developers to ask what they're up to and also for additional comment, news and background info. We're just plain evil. y'see.

Anyway, I wanted to avoid a confrontation like this. Everyone should read every portal, nuff said. And everyone should use RISC OS ;)

;-p and I ain't bitter. Life's too short for it.

I suppose it does help when one of the contributors is a contributing editor... You are not plain evil either.

Definately for part 1, unfortunately for part two it's more difficult with the advances of processing power *now* and OS advances *now* (yes, I'm not getting into the Select is an advance argument, it is. Anything is an advance on its predecessor - unless it's being retrograded).

Chris, i-r-write-4-drobe.co.uk
Paul, i-is-writted-4-myriscos.co.uk (note the spelling please of myriscos - with the exception of the i, spot the other OS in there... ;-p)

Yeah, the recent Drobe stuff has been really good. Maybe the chaps should take over AU. (Almost a serious suggestion!)

Hmm.. tempting. Been suggested before, that we make a monthly printed version of drobe and throw in some extra review/tutorial content. And price it right and still be able to pay people for their work. And have it all lovely and colour and in A4.

Of course, I doubt that'll happen, we don't have the time and I need to fix and overhaul the site first. btw, I like "the opposition" bit on the left - we (drobe) needs some forums.

Chris, drobe.
