Nope. Because then you get regular punters dicking around with thread titles, and the admins do enough of that for anyone.

If you could tell who was an admin, you could just ask them; but the little white text telling you who does what on the site seems to have vanished.

How about if you can only change the thread title before anyone has replied to it? That way you could at least correct typos without interrupting an admin's |teaearlgreyhot| break.
