I doubt I will be able to log in with the file-only demo version
Maybe you need to manually remove some cookies? |

Maybe you need to manually remove some cookies? Tried that, and emptying the Frescos scrap directory, still didn't work. |

I need more info before I can do anything about it. There's no reason why registration wouldn't work in one browser alone. |

It stopped suddenly suggesting there's not much more information we could give you this end. |

I've verified that it's not working. I don't use Fresco (at all), so I doubt it's some leftover cache.
It appears to log you in (i.e. it knows the difference between good and bad passwords), but then the forum list is as it would be if you weren't logged in. So, I presume the cookie is borked. Fresco probably uses a strict Netscape format, where everyone else uses a more lax, MIE-friendly variant. I came across this on one of my own prjects, but that was in Perl, not PHP. The following code seems to work for everything:
print "Content-type: text/html\n"; print "Set-Cookie: wizarduser=$loginname; path=/; expires=$expires;\n"; print "Set-Cookie: wizardpass=$passhash; path=/; expires=$expires;\n"; print "\n"; Although I might be the only person in the world still doing cookies headers "by hand". ________ Cheers, Rich.

Ok so it logs you in and then expires the cookie when you click onto another page? Can someone check again now. |

I did delete all the data out of my cookie file just in case before trying it ('cos there might have been leftovers from the previous attempt), so if anyone else doesn't get the same result, that might be worth trying...? ________ Cheers, Rich.

It works for me also, and I didn't do anything to my cookies. |
