Why is it that when a subdomain is advertised or created for the Iconbar that a link never seems to be there in the appropriate section? A recent example is the Tofla programming resources, I just went to the programming section to try to find it and - nothing! In future could people try to just add a quick link when it /is/ part of the Iconbar? Otherwise I suspect other websites'll be laughing their socks off. The Iconbar was started with the intention of being /the/ definitive RISC OS resource site but only a couple of people seem to be making an effort to maintain that mantra. |

The excellent Iyonix review could be linked to from the Hardware section too.
Well done ! Thanks for all the recent updates. ________ SmoothArtist |

Interesting you mention this - I thought the same thing the other day. In fact, I wondered whether it might be better to transfer some of the stuff from the Programming section to the Tofla site, and then just link to Tofla direct from the Programming link (a la Acorn Arcade). I don't know if the Tofla maintainers would agree with that, but it would seem like a good way of ensuring the Programming section is kept up to date with content. |

Sounds like a good idea to me - it looks like it's been almost two years since the programming section was updated I know. I can't remember my passwords, I didn't/don't have any time, and I don't use a RISC OS computer any more, so I'm probably not the best person to do it. I'm still contributing to RISC OS by making some very inaccessible websites accessible to all browsers, and that does involve programming, but it's a very tenuous link. I'd be happy for Morbo to be the main programming person for the Iconbar if they wanted to do that, and incorporate the Tofla pages into the programming area of the site (or as you say, make programming link to Tofla). Either way, please remove the annoying splash intro screen.
Note the Programming section of the site is the only one where the link to a page stops working if you're actually on that page (e.g. BASIC on http://www.iconbar.com/programming/languages/basic.html) I was always proud of that.
ATB, Matthew
