There will be a general announce going out when it's officially launched, it will be when it's tested properly. We didn't expect iconbar to announce it all of a sudden, really. |

Personally I hate banner ads in any form, and I think Rich is the same It's not just that, we got absolutely slated when we tested those Artex ones on AA, pointing out that it diminishes impartiality - which is a fair point. From then on there's been a strict no advertising* policy on AA/TIB, which we've stuck to even to the point of turning down actual money.I know it's kind of ironic hosting a banner ad network and not using it ourselves, but the aim of TIB is to offer space to anyone doing something useful and RISC OS-y, even if it's not our particular cup of warm beverage. * straight commercial advertising - that doesn't include press releases and other publicity stuff, free ads, etc. |

Since the banner scheme thingy has moved to banners.iconbar.com, how about adding banners to TIB and AA? Oh and the 'Error: Forum info file for forum .txt not found, please contact the forum administrator.' errors are back again |

When we launch on IBs fast and reliable servers I am going to ask all the RISC OS portals to join. (That will then cause smaller sites to join so they get their advert on big sites ) |

Sorry to anyone who tried logging in to the RISC OS Banner Network using Oregano. It was handleing the cookie incorrectly and thinking it had allready expired when you logged in. This problem has been rectified by extending the cookie length from 30minutes to 24hrs. Oregano can't tell the difference between BST and GMT
