Has anyone managed to download the Commandoz game that's linked to at Acorn Gaming and get it to work?

My download always ends just after 1.5Mb except once and that was a corrupt zip file.

I've had the same problems with the secondary server.

I have! I've just downloaded it (from the Geocities link) at work and it unzips fine with WinZip on my PC here. I just need to get it home and try it out now -- the screenshot looks intriguing...

I guess I could e-mail it to you if you're still having problems downloading it, but be warned that it is 3.8Mb. I guess you may have sorted things out by now as it's been two months since your post but I thought I'd reply all the same.

... although it seems SparkPlug doesn't like the look of it.

The first 2/3rds of the file appear to be blank (zero byte), and SparkFS thinks it's a tar file! smile Windoze will show a directory listing but also says there's an error in the file when you try to extract anything.

I've got a working copy of it here, it's basically a turn-based game where you control a group of tanks and have to
guide your infantry to 3 different areas to complete it and thats it! I get the feeling it's unfinished.

Thanks, but as you guessed I've already managed to download it. Wasn't quite what I expected but nice though. (No I wasn't expecting the original Commando!)
