Hi there.
I recently won a boxed Zool game auction on ebay.
The game got delivered to me in top shape, it
starts well, manuals are ok, BUT it misses the
famous CODE WHEEL. The seller is sorry, but he
really cannot find it anymore, so basically I
got the original game but cannot play it.
So, I'd like to know if there's a way to know the
codes or whether the other platform zool games
do share the same code wheel (I may buy a PC
version, and use its code wheel).

Thanx in advance
Luca

The code spinner is the copy protection, and I believe it was shared across versions. I can't advocate doing anything illegal, but if you legally own a copy I'm sure there are internet sites with programs which will tell you the information for academic purposes...

It was released on the AU Games CD wasn't it?
Maybe it's on the REtrogamer issue 3 CD (www.retrogamer.net) as it was a Gremlin game if I remember correctly.

Yes, it was - with StrongARM/RISC OS 4 compatability, I think.

This page is probably the one you're looking for if you want to buy a copy:

http://www.livepublishing.co.uk/retro/retro3.shtml

No mention of specific games they've included though unhappy

Fair. Since I am new here, I wouldn't like to
appear like I am trying to violate a protection.
The game I bought is this:
http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8101937656

I am that user who won, as confirmed on this
auction where I was the seller (try contacting
the user, and that's me!):

Thanx wink
Luca
