Hi all,

New member saying hello. I have some questions but will look through the old threads first. Is there a forum search, didn't notice one, but haven't looked too hard yet.

Little history about myself and the computers I've had, including my favourite - Acorns.

First : ZX81.

Second : Oric 1

Third : Electron

Fourth : BBC Master 128

Fifth : A3000

Sixth : PC :-( Had to, I work in IT !

Ok, so ignore that last one, I have to use PC's extensively in my job, it's not my fault !

I did want to get a RiscPC when My A3000 was becoming unreliable (dodgy power supply) but also needed a PC as well, couldn't afford the RiscPC on it's own let alone both so PC alone it had to be.

Still used to get Archimedes World on a regular basis but they became increasingly difficult to buy from the newsagent, should have got a subscription I suppose.

Then sort of drifted away from the scene, but always intended to buy again when funds permitted, alas Phoebe collapsed as did Acorn.

Looking through the Net it appears that Castle still produce a RiscPC, is that correct ?

I've now decided to resurrect my A3000 (I have all my old machines safely stored away from my ZX81 onwards) and replace it's power supply, noticed a company selling them on the net. Been playing with the emulators in the mean time, bringing back lots of memories.

Sorry long intro.

Castle produce a successor to the RiscPC Steve called the Iyonix. It's the same RISC OS interface with updated BBC BASIC and ARM assembler thrown in as well!

There's a fair few games been released since the A3000 era as well. Many available online.
