What is the difference between Elite A and Elite the New Kind? Both seem the same project and hence redundant! |

I don't know where you got that idea from. They are completely different. Elite: TNK is exactly the same as original Elite, just coded in C instead of 6502 Assembler. Elite A is a dissassembled, fiddled with, then reassembled version of the orginal BBC B disc version, with numerous extra features and gameplay balance changes. |

I got it from a description on Usenet. Anyway thanks. So what is the point of TNK? Just modern day compatibility? |

I think so. Neither of the PC ports were that great, after all. And maybe as a starting point for "Darkness Falls". http://home.clara.net/cjpinder/darkness.htm - that doesn't really say much, though, except that it's Windows only |
