Posts: 1 		Just started with acorns and surprisingly got the emulator working (red squirrel). Looking a bit deeper I now want to install some software. I have the files but when I double click the !spark for example file it just shows me in the contents in a word editor?

What am I doing wrong?

Posts: 25 		Sounds like you have unzipped the acorn archive with WinZip before running the emulator. This causes all the filetypes to be lost and replaced with text type. You will need to get sparkplug.bas or spkplg.bas, settype this to BASIC and run it from inside the emulator.
