Now this is something I didn't expect to see for quite a while - the BBC Domesday project has been
resurrected online and made freely accessible to the general public.
Working with the National Archives, Longlife Data Ltd have created a web version (compatible with IE, Firefox and Netscape - it's not happy with current RISC OS browsers) providing most of the maps, text and photographs from the community discs. They haven't preserved the original BBC interface, instead implementing a groovy four panel window allowing various bits of content to be displayed simultaneously. The second disc (The National Disc) which contained photo galleries and virtual reality walkthroughs is still unavailable.
Neat.

Either I'm missing something, or it isn't working in Oregano 1 |

Oregano 2 fails too, but a bit more obviously: "Device not supported" |

Ah... it seems to check your user-agent. All fail (white page) when faking MSIE6 et al, and all fail with error message displayed when giving a correct user agent. Great! |

It doesn't work on o3 yet either ... but it will. I've narrowed it down to a 5 line test case, and I'll bung it too the top of the fix list. Cos I want this one to work :) |
