Oh yes, today is a good day!
Recently we received a copy of
DinoSaw, the unbelievably rare full version of Tom Cooper's
DinoSaw PD. And today is the day that we release the game to you, for free!
With a download weighing in at a mere 260KB, you would be forgiven for thinking that DinoSaw is a short game. However the fiendishness of the level design will keep you going for days. In over 10 years I've been unable to complete the 4 level demo, and this version features 15 levels!
Luckily there is a split-screen 2 player mode in this version, so if you've got a friend going spare it might be a good idea to get their help.
This version should work fine on anything from RISC OS 2 to RISC OS Select. Get it now from our
free games section. And a big thanks to Andrew Hill for sending us his copy of the game!
UpdateIt seems there was a small problem in the original .zip file that was stopping the game from working on pre-RISC OS 3.5 machines. A new version to fix this has now been uploaded, or if you want you can use the quick fix discussed
here.
Also a version with support for sound and music is in testing, and will hopefully be released later tonight.

Is that a chainsaw in your pocket or are you just pleased to |

Just a thought: would using the QTM module work better for some of the Krisalis stuff under emulation? If nothing else, it reduces the amount of 26-bit code. I'm thinking of things like Lemmings II, Mad Prof Mariati etc. |

Lemmings2 using QTM, interesting idea.
Expect some more information about this later tonight, when I release the DinoSaw QTM support. |

Deeva, Kaptain Konflict, FRED, RawPower and Worldscape are all sitting on my hard disc in various stages of readyness. I also have a StrongARM patch for Wolfenstein 3D, which I keep forgetting to tidy up and release.
At the moment though I'm trying to track down bugs in a 32bit version of QTM :) |

Yes, the page was last modified in 2005, but the maps weren't. I've only had a website for a couple of years, so not all the page dates will match up with the dates on the files. |
