Drobe have published a news item about us changing our poll. Slow news day? Well, I'm posting a news item about them posting a news item, so infer from that what you will. How about a news article about us posting a news article about you posting a news article, Chris? We could play keepy-uppy to pass the time.

If you were looking for actual content in this item you might want to check out Phil Driscoll's entry into The Register's recent article on existential error messages. Following the link to the Web TV error page might provide a few chuckles too. As for the capitalisation of RISC OS in El Reg's article... well, potential future poll fodder?

At least someone's got their Omega. And were so excited that they took photos! That link lifted from the Acorn Cybervillage. [Doh, spent long writing this that someone updated the story underneath with the same link]

And TIBSpy pointed out a rather interesting item on the Philips site that proves that Simtec did their own USB drivers instead of porting someone else's (as alleged on some newsgroup - allegedly). Cybervillage also links to the site, to keep the referential theme going. I'd have posted this on its own, but it might have looked like a dig at Castle and we wouldn't want to cause them any more heartburn would we?

Will the ones from rjek's url have known referers? If so should be easy to fix. Or just disqualify Zap :-)

Zap's for me too (although I prefer XEmacs [as I've mentioned a smidge on Drobe]).

Oh, and Simtec did write their own drivers.

And one of my projects is listed on the Philips site (which is quite cool)...

Unregistered user If was able to write Dune II and an entire Internet suite, not to mention a tracker music editor and entire sound sampling package with editing facilities I would probably use zap as well ;)

No, there's more than one way. There may be only one "correct" (i.e. officially approved) way, but seeing as RISCOS Ltd. can't even keep to that in their name we could poll on favourite derivations ;)

It appears that RISC OS has 2 great text editors, which is 2 more than almost every other OS.

Draw vs MSDraw, Paint vs MSPaint, Edit vs Notepad, Writer vs WordPad, anyone see a pattern?
