Wakefield Theatre Program Revealed

Chris from WROCC has once again contacted us about the Wakefield show. There is now a full Theatre programme of talks on both Saturday and Sunday, lasting upto 45 mins each. Entrance is free (AKA included in show entrance fee) to these presentations. Some will be very, very popular indeed.

Hmmm... both Castle and RISCOS Ltd have presentations on the future of RISC OS. I wonder how that will work then.

The RiscPC is the future of RISC OS, apart from for those who can't afford to shell out 1300ukps for a RiscPC and will stick with their A3010s

What's the point of spending £100 on an OS subscription for a machine that's going nowhere? Surley the money is best put in a savings account towards a replacement? As for Omega, you can't seriously put that forward as a serious alternative. The thing barely functions! It certainyl doesn't have the power and speed of IyonixPC...

The Omega does a lot more that *barely* function, Ariel! And those who possess an Omega will doubtless be interested in investing in the updated features that Select/Adjust offer. As will owners of Virtual RiscPC who, arguably, are doing the opposite of ignoring 'the modern computer world' ;-)

That aside, Castle have signalled their intention to bring RISC OS 'up to date'. Perhaps they'll surprise everyone with their own updates to RISC OS which rival Select's wealth of new features?

At any rate, Wakefield should be exciting ;-)

You mean it works at full speed with no video probs, I could network it, use USB etc? Or by not barely functioning, you mean it switches on and does a few things?

I'm not aware of any 'video probs', Binyamin. My RiscPC doesn't have a network card, or USB, but I'd say it does rather more than 'switch on and do a few things'! Of course, MicroDigital have promised facilities that aren't yet available, but surely that's an issue for Omega owners rather than a cause for constant carping?

And really Mr Netanyahu, I'd have thought that you, of all people, would know better than to rely on smear and rumour. L'hitraot ;-)

I was referring to the Omega, as I clearly stated. I would say the lack of USB and networking support in a computer is pretty laughable in this day and age.
