basicVEarlier this month Dave Bradforth from Alligata Media announced plans to reprint Mike Williams' 1989 guide to Basic programming. It gives an introduction to Basic Programming, but avoids the "complexities of the WIMP".

The book has now appeared on eBay for 8.99UKP exc. 2.50UKP P&P with nine copies currently available. It is A5 sized with 100 black and white pages and a colour cover. Also available is a cheaper PDF version of the book for 4.99UKP with 100 copies available.

Ah but he's right to quote it as this is from the same publisher. Alligata Software and Alligata Media are pretty much the same thing.
