If I counted right we've had 13 responses so far, so there're still a few troopers left to be named. |

What have people chosen? I've given two alternatives in the event that somebody has chosen the same ;-) |

Are we going to see a PaulM as Cheif Piece of Cannon Fodder? I sometimes feel that it would allow a lot of people to vent a lot of frustration... |

Yes, I told Paul about this as soon as the posting went up. I'm hoping we can have a "most interesting way for killing Paul" screenshot compo later on - depends if TEK can display the name on screen or not.. :) |

Less than six actually, but hey, what the heck, if everyone sends in exactly six that's fine :) |

if ((length($name) <= 6) && (length($name) > 0)) then { print "OK\n"; } else { print "Bad length\n"; } |

"the name is limited to 6 characters max"
so how can that be less than six, Rich? :-p |

Note the inclusion of the "max" part. There is a limitation - that limitation is that the /maximum/ number of characters is six. It can be less than six, but the max is six, and that's the limitation.* I've written it in modern English. I've written it in Perl. I've now written it in old-school English. How can I make that any clearer?

Besides which, I've already seen at least one seven emailed in, and someone else complained that they couldn't see an email address anywhere... |

Rich - the PERL is bad as well - you don't have 'then' after an if; just the "{" ;-)

I think that it's "it's", because the dinner belongs to it. "Steve's dinner" springs to mind. |
