Hoover Dam WAD

This WAD is based on the Hoover Dam, the story being that monsters have started taking over landmarks.

You are quickly 'thrown' into the action, given a shotgun right at the start with monsters only round the corner. Much of this level takes place in narrow corridors around the river, which are very dark in places. It is quite annoying when you accidently fall off the edge down to the river below, but there are teleporters around the bottom, so it is possible to get back to where you were.

The way it is designed means that there are always monsters opposite you, which are almost impossible to kill, meaning you have to keep moving. There are a few nice features, such as big pillars that crush you, and clever use of switches.

My only real criticism about this level is that near the beginning you have to keep doubling back on yourself, which is a little frustrating.

Overall: A nice clever level, well worth downloading.
